Local models are great, and they keep getting better. But sometimes you want the biggest cloud model for a hard job. So we added a clean way to use them.

Your key, your account

Instead of us reselling access at a markup, you paste your own API key from OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, or xAI. You pay the provider directly for exactly what you use, and we never sit in the middle of your data or your bill.

Why this design

No second subscription stacked on top of ours.
Your key stays in your settings and your requests go straight to the provider.
You can mix and match: a fast local model for everyday chat, a large cloud model when the task calls for it.

This was the foundation for a whole set of multi-model features that came next. Once the app could talk to any model through one clean layer, comparing them and combining them became possible.
